It’s that time of year again: the temperature is dropping, the heater is turning on, and the students are bundling up. While some may coin this time of year as the holiday season (or cuffing season), we at Ad Society often take this time of year to start up on our internship applications.

So polish up your portfolio and read over your resume. Here’s a list of five internship opportunities for brands we love.

Yes, you can apply for a tech company with zero coding skills! At Twitter University, interns (or “Terns” as Twitter affectionately refers to them) you can apply under their design, marketing, and sales departments, among other STEM-related sectors. Their 12-week course is offered during the fall, spring and summer. According to Twitter University, the program offers Terns “a manager, mentor, feedback sessions, hands-on projects, and chances to socialize with fellow Terns and Tweeps (that’s what we call Twitter employees).” Applications are currently open and close on March 30, 2020, but the earlier you apply the better your chances.

Urban Outfitters

Love street style and keeping up with trends? This paid internship may be the one for you. Urban Outfitters’ internship program offers multiple positions from “Creative” to “Planning and Allocation.” For 10 weeks, summer interns will work at Urban’s home office in Philadelphia, getting first-hand experience on how to work within the retail giant. Make sure to get your application in before December for an optimal chance of earning your spot on the team.

Calling all aspiring UX designers: The Galactic Reddit Academy wants you! This brand new program was created for budding UX designers to be trained by experienced people within the field. Do you find yourself Googling Photoshop tutorials in your free time? Consider applying for Adobe University. From San Francisco to New York to Seattle, find work in all areas of the country. Positions include Search Marketing, Design Research & Strategy, and Experience Content Strategy. Check back periodically as positions keep opening.

Just binged The Handmaid’s Tale? So did we. Hulu is looking for a passionate Brand Design Intern to work alongside the creative department to strengthen the brand image of the streaming service and its products. Work across multiple mediums, such as print, video and digital. Take those Creative Cloud skills and put them to work in Santa Monica, CA.

How About Agencies?

We love them, too! But we also want our members to understand the skills learned at the University of Florida can be put to work within multiple industries. Remember, all companies need some form of advertising/marketing—that’s where we come in.
